What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is something that everyone can do with at some point or another. Most people are familiar with counselling. While counselling helps people deal with problems and issues and often involves delving into someone’s past, Life Coaching is more future focused. A Life Coach will say, “Okay what’s happened in your past is over, where do you want to go from here? What are your goals? What do you want do with your life and how are you going to get there? ” They don’t give advice, but rather draw the answers from the client, therefore empowering them to come up with their own solutions and feel better about themselves.

It’s not that dissimilar from a sports coach. The athlete is the one with the talent, the coach just helps bring out the best in them. The following are someĀ  of the things that a Life Coach can help you with, but they are by no means limited to this list;
